Edgnex teams with Proen to invest US$962m in Thai data centres

Google announced it will invest THB36 billion (US$1 billion) to build its first data centre and cloud region in Thailand to meet growing demand for connectivity services and foster the development of AI in Southeast Asia.

Digital infrastructure company Equinix has inaugurated its first International Business Exchange data centre in Jakarta under a joint venture with Indonesian conglomerate Astra International.

UAE-based Edgnex Data Centres by DAMAC announced on Tuesday it has started construction an AI data centre in Indonesia with a designed IT load capacity of 144MW and a price tag of US$2.3 billion.
