Viettel subsidises 4G feature phones for 700k 2G subscribers

Pan-African operator Axian Telecom has announced the rebrand of its five mobile units to Yas, a move aimed at unifying the operators and creating synergies for future growth.

Axiata’s banking unit Boost Bank launched its mobile app after gaining approval only five months ago from regulators to launch digital services.  

Liberty Costa Rica and Claro have each paid $16.2 million for 5G spectrum rights, marking a major step toward launching commercial 5G services in the Central American nation.
