Argentina’s Refefo upgrade finally close to completion

Argentina’s telecoms regulator Enacom has approved extra financing to finish a project undertaken by Argentinian state-owned telecommunications company Arsat to increase the capacity of its fibre optic network.

ZTE and ETB partner to roll out all-optical networks in Colombia

ZTE announced on Friday it has launched a joint initiative with Colombian telco ETB (Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá) to jointly deploy all-optical networks across key regions in Colombia, including Bogotá, within the next three years.

Iran’s state-owned Telecommunication Infrastructure Company (TIC) says it has signed a memorandum of agreement with Omantel and Iranian infrastructure firm Pishgaman to create a data transit corridor between Iran and Oman.
