Google to invest US$850m in Uruguay data centre

Oman fixed broadband provider Awasr announced that it has officially launched the “Oman-IX” internet exchange point in collaboration with regional digital infrastructure services provider Alliance Networks and internet exchange provider AMS-IX.

STT GDC India, a division of one of the world’s fastest-growing data centre providers, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres, has announced plans to build a data centre campus in Meerkhanpet, near Hyderabad in India.

Vietnamese telco Viettel says it has broken ground on its 16th data centre, which it claims will also be the biggest data centre in Vietnam upon completion and one of the ten biggest in Southeast Asia.
