MTN’s Bayobab taps Eutelsat for LEO satellites

News reports from China indicate that a Chinese state-owned enterprise has this week launched the first batch of satellites in a major new constellation.

SpaceX has reportedly said it plans to invest US$1.5 billion in Vietnam in the near future as an apparent sweetener to convince the government to allow the company to launch its LEO satellite broadband service Starlink in the country.

Satellite operator SES announced on Wednesday that its second-generation medium earth orbit (MEO) satellite network, O3b mPOWER, is now live and ready to provide satellite broadband services around the world.
