Your eyes did not deceive you. On August 1st, Ava Airlines used its recently delivered Airbus A310-300 from Tehran Imam Khomeini to Istanbul Airport. You might not have heard of Ava before, but the Iranian carrier is believed to have started operations in February 2024. According to ch-aviation, it has two 737-500s, one MD-83, and one A310-300. The old fleet is, of course, a result of sanctions imposed on Iran.
