The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has published its preliminary report on Atlas Air Flight 5Y95. The report indicates maintenance was performed on the number 2 engine just days before its now famous failure. The January 18th flight ended returning to Miami after flames were seen coming from the number 2 engine shortly after departure.
