Equinix opens its first data centres in Johor and Kuala Lumpur

Digital infrastructure company Equinix officially opened its first two International Business Exchange (IBX) data centres in Malaysia on Monday – one in Johor and the other in Kuala Lumpur.

Equinix has supported a growth in traffic of around 200%, increasing around 30Gbps to almost 100Gbps in just over a year since the implementation of its strategic partnership with AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) in Lagos.

Telkom Indonesia announced on Thursday it has inaugurated its 28th neuCentrIX Telkom edge data centre facility, which is also the first to be established in Jayapura in the eastern province of Papua.
