The Flying Kangaroo said it spent more than 150 hours testing different options that could mimic human’s “circadian rhythms” to help customers adjust to their destination’s time zones.
The TWU says the four-hour flight, which carried the Fremantle Dockers AFL team home from Launceston to Perth on Saturday, 13 July, ran out of water after around half an hour, disabling the toilets and posing a “significant health and safety risk”.
The Qantas CEO’s comments come after Bonza, which had ambitions to connect mostly regional destinations unserved or underserved by the major players, was put into liquidation earlier this month.
The airline currently operates 24 round trips per week from Perth to Mt Keith and Perth to Leinster on behalf of BHP Nickel West, effectively occupying two of its Fokker 100 aircraft full-time.
