FS Logistix has ordered eight Stadler EUROLIGHT Dual locomotives for Mercitalia Shunting & Terminal. The 3 kV DC/diesel locomotives form part of the Italian logistics group’s wider investment programme worth around EUR 1 billion.

The 4,300 m² workshop will accommodate up to seven locomotives at the same time. The company plans around five kilometres of electrified tracks at the site, together with an underfloor wheel lathe, a dropping table and a dedicated testing area.
