Business consulting and services specialist Jacobs<\/a> has won a contract to provide strategic planning and advisory support to Ireland\u2019s National Transport Authority (NTA).<\/a> <\/p>\n

The NTA has re-appointed Jacobs to support it with the development of transport strategies, urban centre, local transport and other area-based development plans. Jacobs will also support with policy and guidance, and general town planning matters. The appointment builds on Jacobs\u2019 long-standing relationship with the NTA, to which it has provided vital strategic transport plans and studies. The NTA estimates the new contract duration will be approximately 3-4 years.<\/p>\n

Projects include the National Transport Authority\u2019s BusConnects Dublin and BusConnects Cork programmes, bus service planning across the whole of Ireland, the NTA\u2019s Modelling Support Services and Cork County Council\u2019s M28 Motorway project. Jacobs also supports Irish Rail\u2019s East Coast Railway Infrastructure Protection Projects programme \u2013 the largest coastal protection scheme in North-Western Europe, the WuXi Biologics Drug Substance Manufacturing Facility and Edwards Lifesciences Greenfield Manufacturing Facility.<\/p>\n
