Of that sum, the Europeans are spending around two-thirds outside of Europe &#8211; mostly in the US but also in other countries like South Korea. While the Europeans produce <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/dassault-rafale\/\">Rafale<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/typhoon\/\">Typhoon<\/a>, and Gripen fighter jets, <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/5-countries-beyond-us-equipped-with-f-35-lightning-ii\/\">many opt to purchase American fifth-generation F-35s<\/a> for which no European counterpart exists.
