We took advantage of the slightly cooler morning temperatures to replace a couple of worn out ties in the main running track. It was pretty straightforward work, with the ballast being old cinders. After cleaning up from the work, we took a long lunch to recover from the heat.<\/p>\n<p>After lunch, we did some clean up work around the front of the shop, and decided to trim some branches from a couple of large elm trees there. As is usual, we had some difficulty with the chain saw and had to go into repair mode to get it to run for a short time.
