{"id":86039,"date":"2024-07-13T10:57:01","date_gmt":"2024-07-13T00:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=86039"},"modified":"2024-07-13T10:57:03","modified_gmt":"2024-07-13T00:57:03","slug":"probe-into-signal-fault-that-triggered-melbourne-train-chaos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=86039","title":{"rendered":"Probe into signal fault that triggered Melbourne train chaos"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Metro Trains says it is investigating what caused a signal outage that led to delays of up to an hour across the rail network early on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Metro reported just before 5am that it had suffered a \u201closs of signalling control\u201d, leaving trains unable to depart from stations across Melbourne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The failure was resolved about an hour later, but it caused delays of up to 60 minutes for early morning commuters.
