A man who moved to Melbourne just four months ago for a \u201cbetter life\u201d has been left traumatised after he was allegedly slashed in the face while taking the train home from work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every time Felipe Munoz looks in the mirror, he is reminded of the horror that took place at Huntingdale Station on July 4. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 31-year-old was listening to music while travelling on the train when four teenage boys allegedly confronted him at 6.45pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt some point the boys got on the train and started yelling and bothering people,\u201d Mr Munoz said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne of them sat in front of me and made funny faces but I didn\u2019t pay attention to him because I didn\u2019t want to get involved in a confrontation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne of the boys came closer to me and asked me where I was getting off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI replied \u2018why should I tell you that?\u2019 and at that moment the boy went crazy and punched me in the face.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Munoz was kicked multiple times in the back, chest, and head before one of the boy\u2019s allegedly pulled out a knife and slashed him in the face. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI remember touching my face and I felt a big cut,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy hands were full of blood, including my clothes and the floor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was horrible, I feared for my life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAll I was thinking about was my wife, she was waiting for me at home.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two hero Samaritans, including 17-year-old high school student Brooklyn, came to Mr Munoz\u2019s aid, using a beanie and a tissue to stop the bleeding<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was then rushed to hospital, sustaining severe injuries to his body including a 6mm deep cut to his face that almost reached his nerves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Munoz and his wife had only arrived in Melbourne four months ago from Chile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re trying to get a better life here and this happened,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are really scared and I\u2019ve got so much anxiety. It\u2019s been really tough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
