{"id":85386,"date":"2024-07-12T08:53:35","date_gmt":"2024-07-11T22:53:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/?p=116835"},"modified":"2024-07-12T08:53:35","modified_gmt":"2024-07-11T22:53:35","slug":"project-momentum-maintained-as-crl-names-new-chief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=85386","title":{"rendered":"Project momentum maintained as CRL names new chief"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Patrick-Brocki.jpg\" alt=\"\" style=\"float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;\"><figcaption>Image\/CRL<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>City Rail Link Ltd <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityraillink.co.nz\/\">has named<\/a> its chief financial officer, Patrick Brockie, as the new chief executive to lead the country\u2019s largest transport infrastructure project to completion.<\/strong><span id=\"more-116835\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Brockie, a chartered accountant, joined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.railexpress.com.au\/city-rail-link-moves-closer-to-connection\/\">CRL<\/a> Ltd five years ago.\u00a0 He replaces Dr Sean Sweeney who is leaving in September.<\/p>\n<p>City Rail Link Ltd\u2019s Chair, John Bridgman, says Brockie\u2019s appointment comes at an important time\u00a0 for CRL.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPatrick\u2019s knowledge of CRL\u2019s complexities and challenges are underscored by his passion for the project,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Critically, his appointment provides seamless continuity that will ensure the momentum we have right across the project is maintained as we drive towards planned practical completion late next year.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Brockie\u2019s career is extensive. He has held senior management positions in the banking sector and spent significant time working in Asia and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>Brockie also has significant infrastructure experience including working on City Rail Link since 2019.
