Originally made up of <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/american-airlines\/\">American Airlines<\/a>, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/british-airways\/\">British Airways<\/a>, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/cathay-pacific\/\">Cathay Pacific<\/a>, <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/air-canada\/\">Canadian Airlines<\/a>, and <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/qantas\/\">Qantas<\/a>, the alliance was founded in February 1999 to form one of the largest cooperative organizations in global air transport.
