Sydney Metro<\/a> West is on its way to creating opportunities as it kicks off the procurement process for integrated station<\/a> developments.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The new precincts and transport hubs were front and centre as several key industry organisations gathered in Parramatta to hear about the opportunities at these station precincts and how they will act as a catalyst for better connections, new housing and economic activity across Sydney.<\/p>\n

Building on the success of the integrated station development model on the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project, Sydney Metro West will bring together international best practice and innovative urban thinking to shape new vibrant and attractive precincts that will be destinations in their own right with a mix of new housing and commercial opportunities.<\/p>\n

The successful tenderers will be\u202fselected based on how they will improve the local area and create a precinct and a sense of place, not just a station.<\/p>\n

The three packages include opportunities for:<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Three buildings above and adjacent to Sydney Olympic Park Metro Station;<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Four new buildings above and adjacent to Parramatta Metro Station;<\/p>\n

\u00b7 One new building above the eastern entry to Pyrmont Station on Union Street.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 All three precincts will have opportunities to include a mix of new homes, commercial offices, retail, hospitality and public spaces.<\/p>\n

Construction of these integrated station developments is expect to commence from 2027 following contract award.<\/p>\n

Sydney Metro has separately commenced the procurement process for\u202fover station developments at\u202fHunter Street in the Sydney CBD and will have further development opportunities in areas such as Westmead, Burwood North and The Bays.<\/p>\n

Construction started on Sydney Metro West in 2020. By 2032, Sydney will have a network of four metro lines, 46 stations and 113 kilometres of new metro rail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
