About 3.15am on Thursday 27 June, emergency services were called to a rail corridor near the Iron Bark Creek Bridge, Hexham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officers attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District \u2013 assisted by Police Rescue \u2013 attended the site and started inquiries into the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 21-year-old Sydney man was arrested at the scene and taken to Newcastle Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There, he was charged with enter enclosed non-agricultural lands serious safety risk, and cause obstruction to railway locomotive or rolling stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was refused bail to appear before Newcastle Local Court on Friday 28 June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It followed the arrest of a woman earlier in the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 8pm, emergency services were also tasked to the Pacific Highway, Tarro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A 73-year-old South Australian resident was escorted to Raymond Terrace Police Station where she was charged with enter enclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse, enter enclosed non-agricultural lands serious safety risk, and cause obstruction to railway locomotive or rolling stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
