The Full-Scale Russian Invasion of Ukraine triggered the West to impose crippling <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/sanctions\/\">sanctions<\/a> on the <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/russian-aviation\/\">Russian aviation industry<\/a>. Many of the Boeing and Airbus airliners operated by Russian airlines are leased aircraft owned by foreign companies.
