These will replace the older F-15C models that have been serving since the 1980s (the newest was built in 1985). The F-15 was originally built as a dedicated air superiority <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/fighter-jets\/\">fighter<\/a> but has since been developed into a multirole fighter.
