{"id":60341,"date":"2024-06-05T17:01:06","date_gmt":"2024-06-05T07:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=60341"},"modified":"2024-06-05T17:01:14","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T07:01:14","slug":"high-speed-sleeper-trains-will-connect-hong-kong-to-beijing-and-shanghai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=60341","title":{"rendered":"High-speed sleeper trains will connect Hong Kong to Beijing and Shanghai"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>High-speed sleeper trains are being introduced between Hong Kong and both Beijing and Shanghai from 15 June, the&nbsp;<em>South China Morning Post<\/em>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scmp.com\/news\/hong-kong\/transport\/article\/3265283\/high-speed-sleeper-trains-depart-hong-kong-night-arrive-beijing-shanghai-morning-june-15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reports<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to China Railway, the new overnight trains will take half the time of existing sleeper services, arriving at Beijing\u2019s West station in just 12 hours and 30 minutes, and taking only 11 hours and 14 minutes to get to Shanghai Hongqiao station. Both routes will operate from Friday to Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Beijing-bound train will leave Hong Kong at 6:24 pm and arrive in the capital at 6:53 am the next day.
