ABC Melbourne presenters have taken another blow in the latest radio ratings survey, with the station recording the worst result since modern records began in 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ABC Melbourne presenters have taken another battering<\/a> in the latest radio ratings survey, with tens of thousands of listeners tuning out of the stations\u2019 programs in the past few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The station dropped to a 5.6 per cent share, the station\u2019s worst result since modern records began in 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakfast host Sammy J\u2019s audience share dropped 1 percentage point from 7.3 to 6.3 per cent, while Raf Epstein\u2019s Mornings show fell to a 6 per cent share, down by 0.7.<\/p>\n\n\n

ABC Melbourne also failed to make ground in Afternoons and Drive, both dropping by 0.4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Audience share is the percentage of Melbourne radio listeners claimed by each program in the latest survey period. This survey covered February 25 to March 30, and April 14 to May 18. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It comes as Kyle and Jackie O\u2019s Melbourne invasion<\/a> gets off to a shaky start, with the high-profile duo failing to land a blow in the breakfast ratings war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pair\u2019s much hyped KIIS FM show started broadcasting here on April 29 <\/a>but no ground was made, falling 6.4 to 5.9 in the results released on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n

In Sydney Kyle and Jackie O also dropped behind 2GB\u2019s Ben Fordham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although this survey isn\u2019t a strong reflection of their standing, it would be disappointing to fall in Melbourne and in Sydney where they were no. 1 last survey.<\/p>\n\n\n

Strong FM leaders, FOX FM\u2019s Fifi, Fev and Nick, also dropped \u2013 from 11.2 to 10 \u2013 to fall just behind GOLD FM\u2019s Christian O\u2019Connell who regained the lead on 10.4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

KIIS FM is now level with Triple M\u2019s Marty Sheargold Show on 5.9. Nova\u2019s Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips with Clint Stanaway were given a boost, going up from 8.3 to 8.7. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smoothfm\u2019s Mike Perso was a solid 8.1 while 3AW\u2019s Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft were clear leaders, jumping to 19.8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sandilands told the Herald Sun in March that he and Jackie \u2018O\u2019 Henderson would be no. 1 by the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019ll be straight away, it\u2019ll take a few surveys to crack them realistically so I don\u2019t think it\u2019ll be immediate, but by the end of the year yes,\u2019\u2019 Sandilands said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3AW\u2019s Tom Elliott continued to improve, going from 16.9 to 17.5 while Jacqui Felgate in Drive went up for the first time since she started as host<\/a>, going from 7.6 to 8.<\/p>\n\n\n

The ratings bump was a welcome result for Felgate, who had shed more than 90,000 listeners across her first two rating periods in the host chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Drive it\u2019s a tight battle between FOX FM (10.6) and GOLD FM (10.5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SEN strengthen across the board with Gerard Whateley in Mornings rising from 4.4 to 5.9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Afternoons with Dwayne Russell was also stronger at 5.4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
