Auckland Council confirmed the withdrawal to the outlet, which described the project as the Australian operator&#8217;s first New Zealand development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NEXTDC lodged the application on 17 July 2026. It covered a five-storey building on the whole block between Nelson and Hobson Streets, with residential apartments to the north. In September the council told BusinessDesk the application was on hold pending further information from the applicant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NEXTDC planned AK1 near
