{"id":581716,"date":"2026-10-22T09:54:58","date_gmt":"2026-10-21T23:54:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=581716"},"modified":"2026-10-22T09:56:24","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T23:56:24","slug":"inland-rail-making-progress-in-greenfield-illabo-to-stockinbingal-section","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=581716","title":{"rendered":"Inland Rail making progress in greenfield Illabo to Stockinbingal section"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/inlandrail.com.au\/where-we-go\/projects\/illabo-to-stockinbingal\/\">Illabo to Stockinbingal<\/a>&nbsp;section involves constructing 39km of new rail track in the Junee and Cootamundra regions of New South Wales, providing a direct route from Illabo to Stockinbingal through the existing Forbes line, bypassing Cootamundra and the steep and winding Bethungra Range with its Bethungra Spiral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As well as laying the first section of new rail track at Stockinbingal and having nearly 75% of required rail delivered to our work sites, Inland Rail has also completed a significant amount of other works on the Illabo to Stockinbingal section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Works have been progressing on the construction of the new Burley Griffin Way rail overpass, with the road upgrade being conducted in stages to maintain traffic flow, and road widening works have been completed on Hibernia Street, Stockinbingal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inland Rail has commissioned the new crossover and signalling infrastructure at Illabo Junction, which will connect the existing rail network to the new Inland Rail alignment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>works have been completed for the bridge piles at Billabong Creek, with earthworks also being conducted inside the rail corridor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the weeks ahead Inland Rail plans to conduct bridge girder installation on the Dirnaseer Road overbridge from October 10 to October 11.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the weeks ahead Inland Rail plans to conduct bridge girder installation on the Dirnaseer Road overbridge from October 10 to October 11.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":21,"featured_media":581723,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_uf_show_specific_survey":0,"_uf_disable_surveys":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[326,47],"tags":[13205],"class_list":["post-581716","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-inland-rail","category-rail-news","tag-stockinbingal"],"aioseo_notices":[],"aioseo_head":"\n\t\t<!-- All in One SEO Pro 5.0.4 -
