This is a long-anticipated move as The Netherlands retires and replaces its aging fleet of F-16 Fighting Falcons with modern <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/tag\/fifth-generation-fighter\/\">fifth-generation<\/a> F-35s. Many of its old <a href=\"https:\/\/simpleflying.com\/nordic-backing-ukraine-f-16s-denmark-norway\/\">F-16s have been pledged to Ukraine and are expected to start arriving in the country soon<\/a>.
