Passengers heading to Vivid Sydney are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 1-2 June, as important urgent trackwork will impact some passenger journeys.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

On Saturday night from 9.45pm to 6am Sunday, buses will replace T3 and T4 trains between Sydenham and Central stations in both directions for urgent trackwork<\/a> to carry out safety critical track repairs to remove defects on a set of points in this area.<\/p>\n

Travel into the city for Vivid Sydney will not be heavily impacted by trackwork, with an additional 400 train services on offer over the duration of the event. However, please allow extra travel time and plan ahead by visiting\u00a0transportnsw.info<\/a>\u00a0or using trip planning apps.<\/p>\n

For those travelling home from Vivid Sydney to T4 Illawarra Line stations, please catch a T8 Airport & South Line train and change at Wolli Creek to continue your journey. T8 Airport Line trains run between the City Circle and Wolli Creek.<\/p>\n

The T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line will see buses replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland all weekend.<\/p>\n

Across the weekend on the T3 Bankstown Line buses will replace trains between Lidcombe and Sydenham stations. Additionally, on Sunday from 4am to 6am buses will replace trains between Cabramatta and Bankstown.<\/p>\n

Buses will also replace trains on the T7 Olympic Park Line between Olympic Park and Lidcombe all day Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Sydney Trains will have 800 workers carrying out a significant amount of work over this period, including track reconditioning, turnout renewal, a level crossing upgrade, signalling works, rail grinding and resurfacing.<\/p>\n

Intercity\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, June 1, from 8pm to 3.30am, buses will replace trains on the Hunter Line between the Newcastle Interchange and Telarah.<\/p>\n

The South Coast Line will see buses replace trains between Bomaderry, Kiama and Wollongong all weekend. On Saturday from 9.50pm to 6am Sunday, buses also replace South Coast Line trains between Waterfall and Central.<\/p>\n

And, on Saturday from 4.40am to 4pm buses will replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown on the Southern Highlands Line.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
