Hopefully I will &#8216;catch up&#8217; with events in due course, but in the meantime, here are a couple of photos of a recent visitor to Lambing Flat.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">My good mate, Chris Sim, has been busy over the last couple of years, working on models of the NSWGR&#8217;s fastest (allegedly \ud83d\ude09 railmotor, CHP38, known as &#8216;Creamy Kate&#8217;, and a 500 class trailer, which &#8216;Kate&#8217; often hauled at times of excess patronage.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: justify;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-Rp5sAeLYs8s\/T-RtaP-u-6I\/AAAAAAAAAxY\/TbsT486MSgk\/s1600\/Chris%2527s+CHP38-02.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"388\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-Rp5sAeLYs8s\/T-RtaP-u-6I\/AAAAAAAAAxY\/TbsT486MSgk\/s640\/Chris%2527s+CHP38-02.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Here, Chris&#8217;s completed model rests in the platform. While Chris had modified the model a little, he has kept it in the post-1972 condition that the SJM kit portrays. I was quite impressed with the way he has painted the two vehicles (authentically) in different shades of Indian red. The 1970s version of Indian red was a darker, bluer shade than the colour used in the 1950s\/&#8217;60s, especially when newly applied.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: justify;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/--m865JNZuuE\/T-RtZze67SI\/AAAAAAAAAxc\/O45eh3UY1v0\/s1600\/Chris%2527s+CHP38-01.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"480\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/--m865JNZuuE\/T-RtZze67SI\/AAAAAAAAAxc\/O45eh3UY1v0\/s640\/Chris%2527s+CHP38-01.jpg\" width=\"640\" \/><\/span><\/a><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Here she is approaching Lambing Flat from the Cowra direction, passing over the bridge over Back Creek on the new section I have been working on over the last couple of months.
