UK infrastructure specialist Costain has appointed Rohan O\u2019Grady into its transportation division where he will take on the leadership of the Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture.<\/p>\n
As managing director of SCS JV, Rohan will be responsible for leading the delivery of the London tunnels section of HS2 during a critical phase of the programme. He will ensure SCS JV maintains the highest levels of safety and productivity, to support HS2’s programme reset and play a key role in the most significant addition to the rail network in over a century.<\/p>\n
With more than 20 years\u2019 experience in complex engineering, project execution, alliance delivery and executive leadership, Rohan brings a wealth of expertise in building and leading high-performing teams across a range of sectors, including infrastructure, energy and mining.<\/p>\n
Rohan joins Costain from CPB Contractors, the construction and infrastructure arm of Australian-based CIMIC Group, specialising in complex, large-scale, and critical infrastructure projects. Prior to this, he was chief operating officer at Mineral Resources Limited and BGC Contracting. He also spent 13 years at Leighton Contractors, where he was project director on its Gorgon project for Chevron, one of the world’s largest LNG projects and the largest single resource project in Australia’s history.<\/p>\n
