The new Piccadilly line trains have been designed to transform the passenger experience with air-conditioning, walk-through carriages, enhanced accessibility, onboard CCTV and improved onboard digital information systems. The trains will also be more reliable, increase capacity by 10% and consume 20% less energy than the existing fleet. The trains will be digitally connected via our Railigent platform, meaning trains will be able to send live location data and live component health data to TfL\u2019s depots, enabling predictive maintenance.<\/p>\n

Alongside the train, Siemens Mobility showcased its portfolio of digitally connected rail solutions, including Railigent X, Signaling X, and Mobility Software Suite X. Powered by Siemens Xcelerator, these technologies help operators optimise performance, improve reliability and make better use of rail infrastructure, supporting the delivery of a more efficient and sustainable railway.<\/p>\n
