The European Network of Infrastructure Managers (ENIM) was established on 23 September at Innotrans. Mandated by the EU\u2019s Capacity Regulation, ENIM provides a permanent platform for rail infrastructure managers to coordinate capacity planning, traffic management, and operational performance across the continent.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The infrastructure manager network builds on the 2013 Platform of Rail Infrastructure Managers in Europe, known as PRIME. ENIM will take up expanded responsibilities. The new body is tasked with harmonising rail capacity management, traffic management and performance review. Moreover, ENIM will establish a one-stop shop for capacity rights across multiple networks.<\/p>\n

In addition to ENIM, railway undertakings and other stakeholders will establish the European Railway Platform, an advisory body to facilitate exchanges with ENIM.<\/p>\n

ENIM leadership<\/h2>\n

A Chair and Vice-Chair will lead ENIM and are elected for a two-year term. At its first plenary meeting, Johann Pluy, Member of the Board of \u00d6BB-Infrastruktur AG, was appointed Chair. Piotr Wyborski, President of the Management Board of PKP PLK, was appointed Vice-Chair.<\/p>\n

By working closely with railway undertakings, policymakers, sector organisations and the wider industry, we can jointly deliver the ambitions of Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the same time, RailNetEurope has been appointed as Network Coordinator. The Vienna-based organisation will support the implementation of the European legal framework, develop methodologies and digital solutions together with the infrastructure managers, support harmonisation and provide secretarial services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
