It could potentially have developed for example: advanced artificial intelligence; autonomous machines; genetic engineering; nanotechnology; self-replicating systems; autonomous spacecraft; planetary engineering; Interstellar space travel: advanced energy systems; telepathy, time travel; technologies capable of modifying its own biology. <\/div>\n

They may have started as biological organisms. But after millions of years, they could have become something else entirely. A civilization that is partly or almost completely post-biological. <\/div>\n

Biological evolution and technological evolution could become intertwined. The civilization might begin changing itself deliberately. Its members could alter their biology. They could replace biological organs. They could integrate artificial intelligence into themselves. Eventually, the distinction between organism and machine could begin to disappear. <\/div>\n

We call them \u201caliens\u201d and their craft \u201cUFOs\u201d simply because we don\u2019t know who they are or what they represent. But what if that is the wrong way to look at them? What if they are not something mysterious at all, but the result of their own evolutionary journey on another planet? <\/div>\n

Just as humanity has evolved from primitive tools to advanced technology, artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, and space exploration, could these beings represent what humanity might ultimately become after millions of years along its own evolutionary journey, shaped by the technologies, developments, and techniques emerging today? <\/div>\n
