The line is managed by the&nbsp;<strong>Mornington Railway Preservation Society<\/strong>&nbsp;and operates on part of the former&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Victorian_Railways\">Victorian Railways<\/a>&nbsp;branch line which ran from Baxter to Mornington.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Travel with the rollingstock transfers to and from the railway as it possible with other heritage groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some years ago the Mornington Railway Station was closed and sadly Victrack decided to sell the land and remove rail access forever to the Mornington Township.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The video above is a great example of what trains probably looked like on the line when it was in revenue service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensure you make an effort to visit and ride the
