AirTrunk has secured the largest green project finance transaction for a data centre project in Malaysia, with US$2.325 billion in green financing to support the sustainable development of our JHB2 hyperscale data centre campus in Johor Bahru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transaction was backed by 30 local and international financial institutions, including AirTrunk’s first financing with the IFC – International Finance Corporation<\/strong><\/a> (IFC), and marks the first data centre financing in APAC aligned with IFC’s Blue Finance Guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This financing reflects our #CommitmentsToCommunities<\/strong><\/a>, the principles that guide how we build and operate our data centres by safely delivering critical infrastructure, being responsible users of energy and water, being good neighbours, and strengthening the communities where we operate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will support industry-leading energy and water efficiency through innovative cooling technologies, while margin savings will continue to fund community initiatives across Malaysia, including recycled water programs, STEM education and disaster relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
