Rail operator c2c Railway has today published a summary of its key achievements and service performance during its first year in public ownership. <\/p>\n

Today marks one year since c2c rail operations transferred into public ownership under the Department for Transport Operator. The operator \u2013 now part of GBR Anglia, which brings together the leadership of c2c, Greater Anglia and Network Rail Anglia under a single, unified structure \u2013 has highlighted the significant progress and key achievements it has delivered over the past 12 months. <\/p>\n

A new short film released today (see below) confirms that c2c was the number one train operating company for reliability and punctuality between April 2025 and March 2026, achieving an industry\u2011leading 91.9% Time to 3 (T\u20113) score. With Greater Anglia also recording strong performance, the results underline the strength of rail operations across the region, with the Anglia route the most punctual in the country. <\/p>\n

c2c has also recorded a strong commercial performance, with passenger numbers rising, ticket sales increasing, and revenue up 10.6% on the previous financial year.<\/p>\n

The operator remains the only fully contactless National Rail network in the UK. Since launching last year, the pay as you go initiative has enabled more than five million contactless journeys to and from c2c\u2019s Essex stations \u2013 another industry milestone.<\/p>\n
