In 1998, UFO Magazine published a strange three-part series written by an apparent pseudonymous author named Greg Halifax. The articles followed a character called Sedge Masters, an intelligence operative recruited into a deeply classified UFO crash-retrieval program known as Zodiac.<\/p>\n

Across the series, Masters is briefed on alleged recovered craft, non-human bodies, reverse-engineering efforts and a specialized military recovery team whose members return from a mission with ninety minutes of missing time. He is brought in to interrogate the men, investigate what happened during the recovery and gradually descend into a compartmentalized world involving Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, underwater objects, recovered technology and decades of UFO secrecy.<\/p>\n

The articles were presented as fictionalized and largely unverified. However, their significance changed after a leaked 1999 email revealed that physicist Hal Puthoff believed the stories may have been only slightly fictionalized versions of a real source\u2019s experiences preparing records for the archives at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.<\/p>\n
