Roads have been closed off after a train derailed in a small town in the NSW Southern Highlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The train, which was carrying concrete for construction material company Boral, came off its rails on Berrima Rd in New Berrima on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The freight train fell to its side, leaving five carriages upturned and prompting a massive clean-up by emergency services.<\/p>\n\n\n

A Boral spokesman confirmed the freight train was being operated by its rail services partner \u201cwith their equipment\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe site is currently under the direction of NSW Police and the rail regulators,\u201d the spokesman told NewsWire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe sympathise with the inconvenience caused to the travelling public, and we are committed to working closely with relevant authorities and our rail services partner to aid in resolving the incident.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berrima Rd was closed in all directions while emergency services worked to clear the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
