Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 18-19 May, as essential Rail Repair Plan<\/a> trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

On Friday from 10.50pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Emu Plains and St Marys on the T1 Western Line<\/a>. Buses will also replace trains between Emu Plains and Parramatta across the weekend.<\/p>\n

On the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line, buses will replace trains between Cronulla and Sutherland on both Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Additionally on Saturday from 11.30pm to 2.20am, buses will also replace trains between Waterfall and Hurstville.<\/p>\n

Buses will replace trains between Blacktown and Parramatta across both Saturday and Sunday on the T5 Cumberland line.<\/p>\n

Sydney Trains will have around 912 workers carrying out a significant amount of work over this period, including station upgrades, track reconditioning, turnout refurbishment, overhead wiring, track slab, rerailing and cutting & embankment works.<\/p>\n

Some trains may run to changed stopping pattern and timetable. Passengers may need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.<\/p>\n

Intercity<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the Blue Mountains, Friday from 9.30pm, buses replace trains from Lithgow to Blacktown and from 11pm. Across the weekend buses will also replace trains between Bathurst and Parramatta.<\/p>\n

Buses will replace trains between Wyong and Gosford on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line across the weekend. Also, buses will replace trains Saturday from 6.50pm to 4.50am Sunday, between Newcastle Interchange and Gosford.<\/p>\n

On the South Coast Line, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Hurstville on Saturday from 11.30pm to 2.20am.<\/p>\n

Metro<\/strong><\/p>\n

Across the weekend, buses will replace Metro services between Tallawong and Chatswood due to planned trackwork and testing for the upcoming metro extension into the Sydney CBD.<\/p>\n

Light Rail<\/strong><\/p>\n

L2 and L3 light rail will not run on both Saturday and Sunday. Buses replace L2 and L3 between Central Chalmers Street and Juniors Kingsford or Randwick. Passengers should use City Circle trains between Circular Quay and Central Chalmers Street.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
