The terminal will be managed by Swiss operators Hupac and SBB Cargo and by Dutch barge specialist Contargo via the joint venture GBN. The terminal, strategically located on the France-Germany-Switzerland border, will allow 50% of the goods in Switzerland to be distributed by rail, the company claimed.<\/p>\n<p>GBN did not disclose the specific sum that the FOT accepted to commit. Back in 2018, the Swiss government said it would provide 83 CHF (71 million euros back then, 90 million euros now). The company formed by the three operators would cover the remaining 47 million CHF (40 million euros in 2018, 51 million euros today).
