Sigrid Nikutta, who served as the CEO of DB Cargo until late 2025, is making a job transfer within the rail industry. She is joining the Board of Directors of NEXRAIL, a Rotterdam-based locomotive leasing company.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>NEXRAIL announced that Nikutta would be joining the company on LinkedIn, highlighting that she brings \u201cdeep international leadership experience\u201d to the locomotive lessor.<\/p>\n

“With her intimate knowledge of the rail freight operations, NEXRAIL will be even better able to further its mission to transition the European rail freight market toward a zero-emission future\u201d, commented the locomotive lessor’s Chairman Neil Bennett.<\/p>\n

Nikutta expressed excitement about the opportunity to work with the rolling stock company and develop new locomotive solutions for the European market. \u201cIt is my strong belief that rail freight operators, locomotive lessors, and also railway network operators, need to cooperate to make the fleet more efficient and green. I look forward to facilitating that cooperation\u201d, the former DB Cargo CEO said.<\/p>\n
