The world\u2019s largest inland terminal in Duisburg recorded both financial and operations growth in 2025 compared to the previous year. Revenue went up 9.6%, while the number of TEUs handled increased by 5.1%.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Container throughput went from 4.9 to 5.1 million TEUs, according to duisport, the company managing the facility. \u201cTotal cargo throughput remained stable at 50.8 million tons despite the transformation in inland waterway transport\u201d. Regarding duisport\u2019s finances, revenue grew from 356.3 to 390.5 million euros.<\/p>\n

Positive year overall<\/h2>\n

The company posted positive figures when it comes to EBIT, from 22.6 to 27 million euros, and profit after tax, from 19.8 to 23.4 million euros. Respectively, these are 19.5% and 18.2% higher than in 2024. Duisport also claimed it invested 79.8 million euros throughout 2025.<\/p>\n

The past year saw significant developments for duisport. For example, the company launched its first eastbound train to Chengdu<\/a>, in central China. Moreover, it collaborated with Turkish terminal operator Arkas Holding to build T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s first private intermodal terminal, Railport<\/a>, which started operations in November.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
