Nonetheless, as our interview with a legitimate airline pilot makes clear, the reality is far more nuanced. In aviation, the &#8220;best&#8221; airplane is not always the biggest, the fastest, or the most iconic. Often, it is the one that offers the best combination of comfort, schedule, seniority, base location, and long-term quality of life. That perspective is ultimately at the heart of this story.
