A near-freezing sea swim off the Pembrokeshire coast has earned Great Western Railway\u2019s Great Escapes<\/em> podcast a place on the shortlist for one of the audio industry\u2019s top awards.<\/p>\n

The clip, featuring Dan Skinner taking a winter dip with the Bluetits Chill Swimmers, has been nominated for Radio Times Moment of the Year<\/em> at the Audio and Radio Industry Awards 2026.<\/p>\n

Dan (Shooting Stars<\/em>, The Kennedys<\/em>) joins the group for a bracing dip in the Irish Sea and what starts as a mad idea soon turns blissful \u2013 proof that a communal winter swim can clear the mind, lift the spirits and make you forget everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe biggest surprise was how cold the water was \u2013 close to freezing \u2013 but also how quickly your body gets used to it!\u201d said Dan.<\/p>\n
