{"id":395713,"date":"2026-03-29T11:04:31","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T01:04:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=395713"},"modified":"2026-03-29T11:04:32","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T01:04:32","slug":"srl-east-tbms-arrive-in-burwood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vibewire.com.au\/?p=395713","title":{"rendered":"SRL East TBMs arrive in Burwood"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Two more tunnel boring machines (TBMs) have arrived in Melbourne ready for tunnelling of Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East to start this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TBMs are now being assembled on-site in Burwood and will be lowered into the TBM launch site in sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SRL site in Burwood is being transformed with 2 acoustic sheds being built to reduce construction impacts on&nbsp;local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Crews are building infrastructure to support tunnelling, including a conveyor system to move excavated soil out of the tunnels.
