Institute<\/a>&nbsp;this&nbsp;July.&nbsp;The&nbsp;hands-on&nbsp;learning experience&nbsp;is designed&nbsp;to help high school&nbsp;students&nbsp;prepare for a future in the aerospace workforce.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rising high school juniors and seniors can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfstJ_UMIC9hecQTRb05xlV_ILW9DrwlLwi9-MrdqDf_wzpmg\/viewform\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">submit\u00a0applications<\/a>\u00a0for this summer program\u00a0beginning\u00a0Friday,\u00a0March 20,\u00a0through\u00a0Friday, May 1.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;institute will immerse students in NASA\u2019s work while providing essential career readiness tools to help them in future&nbsp;science, technology, engineering, and&nbsp;math-focused academic and professional pursuits.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the five-day&nbsp;program, students will use authentic NASA mission content and work alongside Glenn\u2019s technical experts to gain a deeper understanding of the engineering design process, develop practical engineering solutions to real-world challenges, and test prototypes to answer questions in&nbsp;key mission areas:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Acoustic dampening \u2013 How can we reduce noise pollution from jet engines?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Power management and distribution \u2013 How can we develop a smart power system for future space stations?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Simulated lunar operations \u2013 Can we invent tires that\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0use air?\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong>:&nbsp;<br \/>To be considered for the 2026 NASA Glenn High School Engineering Institute, applicants must&nbsp;submit&nbsp;a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfstJ_UMIC9hecQTRb05xlV_ILW9DrwlLwi9-MrdqDf_wzpmg\/viewform\"  rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">complete application class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Session 2:<\/strong>\u00a0July\u00a020-24, 2026\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Session 3:<\/strong>\u00a0July\u00a027-31, 2026\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility and Application Requirements<\/strong>&nbsp;<br \/>To be eligible for this program, students must:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be entering 11th or 12th grade for the 2026-2027\u00a0academic year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have\u00a0a minimum 3.2 GPA, verified by their school counselor\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Be a U.S.
