Danish shipping giant Maersk has partnered with East-West Intermodal Logistics (EWG) to launch container depot and dry port services at EWG\u2019s terminal in F\u00e9nyeslitke.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe dry port concept means that a shipping line relocates certain functions traditionally carried out in seaports to an inland terminal,\u201d the companies said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The agreement with Maersk follows another development at the EWG terminal, this time involving semi-trailers rather than containers.<\/p>\n

Since February, a train loaded with semi-trailers has been operating between the facility in Hungary and Lviv, Ukraine. Both initiatives underline how the EWG terminal has quickly become a key hub for Central Europe since its opening in 2022.<\/p>\n
