Services which operate via Glasgow Central Low Level are now available to customers, with trains calling at the station. This follows a full site assessment of the low level part of the station.<\/p>\n

Network Rail, working with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Glasgow City Council, has confirmed that Glasgow Central high level station will not reopen this week, following the significant fire in a building next to the station on Union Street.<\/p>\n

As a result, no ScotRail services will operate to or from Glasgow Central High Level during this time.<\/p>\n

Customers are also being advised to check their journey before travelling, as many routes across the west of Scotland are suspended or operating with alterations.<\/p>\n

ScotRail is continuing to keep customers updated on the ScotRail website, app, and through its social media channels. Station staff are also on hand across the network to help where possible.<\/p>\n

The emergency services and Network Rail are assessing the damage caused by the fire near the station, and ScotRail will provide further updates on its services as soon as more information becomes available.<\/p>\n

David Ross, ScotRail chief operating officer, said: \u201cFollowing comprehensive safety checks, I\u2019m very pleased that we will operate ScotRail services via Glasgow Central low level.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, Glasgow Central High Level station will not reopen this week as the impact of the fire in the building next to the station continues to be assessed by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Glasgow City Council.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know this closure is causing significant disruption for our customers, and we\u2019re very sorry for the impact it is having on journeys.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur teams are working hard to keep people moving where possible, and we\u2019d encourage customers to check their journey before travelling using the ScotRail app or website.\u201d<\/p>\n
