Australian Labor MP Clare O’Neil<\/a> accused Pauline Hanson<\/a> of racism, citing her statements that there are ‘no good Muslims’ in Australia and that the country is being ‘swamped by Asians.’ O’Neil urged the Coalition to never preference One Nation, as done by the SA Liberals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pauline Hanson has said there are \u201cno good Muslims\u201d in Australia. That our country is being \u201cswamped by Asians\u201d. These aren\u2019t just words, and this isn\u2019t politics as usual – and it shouldn\u2019t be legitimised as such. Let\u2019s call it what it is – racism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For generations, mainstream political leaders in our country have chosen inclusion over fear. That used to be a shared position of Labor and the Coalition. But it looks like that\u2019s changing.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Australia is the most successful multicultural country in the world.\u00a0 The Coalition needs to rule out following the lead of the SA Liberals, confirm that it will never preference One Nation, and help Labor protect this defining feature of our great country.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
