LNER is proud to be continuing its partnership with London\u2019s Chinese New Year celebrations for a second year in 2026 as the Year of the Horse is welcomed in.<\/p>\n

The train operator\u2019s very own lions have been entertaining customers and colleagues at London King\u2019s Cross station in advance of this weekend\u2019s parade and stage performances. The events are expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to the capital.<\/p>\n

London’s Chinese New Year parade takes place on Sunday 22nd February 2026 and is sponsored by LNER. The popular parade through Chinatown and Trafalgar Square is one of the standout moments of the 15-day Spring Festival, which kicked off earlier this week. The LNER lions are set to take part in the prestigious \u2018dotting of the eye ceremony\u2019, a rich tradition within the parade which symbolises the lions\u2019 \u2018awakening\u2019.<\/p>\n

David Flesher, Commercial Director at LNER, said: <\/strong><\/p>\n
