Railport, the intermodal terminal in Kartepe, T\u00fcrkiye, has completed its first finished vehicle train operation, marking a new milestone for rail-based automotive logistics at the site, according to duisport.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The inaugural train transported 216 imported finished vehicles from Ford Otosan and arrived at the Railport terminal<\/a>, where unloading was completed successfully. The operation was carried out by rail and involved several partners across the logistics chain.<\/p>\n

The finished vehicle service follows Railport\u2019s earlier operational start, when the terminal launched intermodal services with its first container train in November 2025. Railport is T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s first private intermodal terminal<\/a> and a joint venture between Arkas Holding and duisport<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Multi-partner rail operation<\/h2>\n

Duisport<\/a> underlined that the finished vehicle transport was conducted with Mars Logistics acting as the logistics service provider. Ko\u00e7Zer led strategic procurement and process management, while K\u00f6rfez Ula\u015ft\u0131rma was responsible for the continuous execution of rail operations. Transwaggon Group supplied the wagons used for transport.<\/p>\n

The terminal itself is equipped with infrastructure specifically designed for handling finished vehicles. Railport<\/a> covers approximately 22,000 square metres and has a finished vehicle parking capacity of 1,563 vehicles. Dedicated ramps enable import and export operations of finished vehicles by rail.<\/p>\n
